General Requirements

The admission requirements for applicants wishing to enroll in the Master Course Erasmus Mundus QEM are a good quality and recognized bachelor's degree (B.A., B.Sc., etc.) or an equivalent qualification at the same level, i.e. 180 ECTS credits in the Bologna system to apply for  Quantitative Economics Master (QEM). Any additional qualifications such as a second bachelor's degree, a master's degree, or other graduate study should be mentioned in the application.

Students can apply to the programme even if they have not yet completed the studies required by the date of application submission. However, they must have completed the relevant degree level before the cohort starting date that is the first September of the starting year of the cohort.

Ideally, applicants need to have previously studied mathematics, applied mathematicsquantitative economics or finance. However, candidates with other backgrounds are welcome to apply as well. Applicants who do not meet the mathematical prerequisites but are strong otherwise may be offered courses in mathematics during their first year in addition to the programme. For example, students may choose to spend to apply to the preparatory year Mathematical Models in Economics and Finance (MMEF) and then enroll in the QEM programme.

Language Requirements

Since no course of English as a second language will be offered during the programme, the ability to attend courses in English is necessary. Admission to the QEM programme requires an English-language test certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS for applicants coming into the program. Applicants coming from an English-speaking country or having a sufficient degree taught in English are waived from this requirement.
